  1. I too think you are spot on David, although I expect channel 9 wish it were true, and if its not irony don’t know if Bettestreep2008 has had his head buried in the sand for the all The Voice series..

  2. How do people know what time to turn over and watch the winner announced? Surely they aren’t so interested they keep flicking back and forth. If they are going to code the winner announced as a separate program they should have it listed as such in the program guide so all we have to do is watch that and not the interminable program before.

  3. House Rules 2015 has been a big disappointment for 7. Ratings for the grand final only matching those of a normal edition of Masterchef and being smashed by The Voice. I think from memory The block (final) doubled those figures achieved by HR

  4. Watched Masterchef on 10.
Recorded The Voice on 9 and watched after M/Chef.
Watched Tour de France live from about 10:15pm to the end. 🙂

Demographics show what happens to the Voice – it has the potential to do huge ratings but they always end up with operatic singers as winners and they do not create a star for Australia for under 50’s to buy CD’s etc. The Battles on now are my least favourite as often fantastic singers have to go. I don’t think judges think their choices through enough for battle stage or they get told what to chose. That is where The Voice fails, every year. We still watch the recordings but don’t love this stage of the show 🙂 The Voice is all about ratings for Nine and not about creating a new star for Australia.

    • bettestreep2008

Wolfie – what do you mean Nine isn’t interested in creating a new star for Australia.

In season one the Voice winner had 5 of the Top 5 singles in the charts – something not done since The Beatles back in the 60s. And she went on to be one of the most successful superstars in the world.

And the winner of season 2 has had even bigger success. I think she topped the charts in over 50 countries.

I am confident that the winner of this season will become the greatest music superstar in history – all thanks to Nine and the judges – who obviously care about the contestants.
