TV Tonight can reveal Dancing with the Stars is headed back to Sunday nights on Seven this year.
Last year the show was airing on Tuesday nights, but it is understood to be kicking off on July 19th.
What remains unclear is where Seven will screen the House Rules grand final with its penultimate episode set for Tuesday July 14th.
That could mean a House Rules final / DWTS combo for Sunday 19th, which seems like a lot of content for one night.
Or House Rules may wrap the following night Monday 20th. There’s an outside chance it will wrap on Wednesday July 15 where Seven currently has Border Security and Highway Patrol scheduled. Red herrings perhaps?
Seven is yet to confirm the full cast for Dancing with the Stars, hosted by Shane Bourne.

I think channel seven still have lots of programmes left this year, Winners and Looser, The X Factor, Dancing with the Stars, Restaurant Revolution, and I think another renovation show, but could be mistaken on that one, so they still have a fair few shows to keep them going, at least they don’t have to keep finding repeats on everything to keep them going.
Yes I think the other renovation show is a second series of House Rules. I don’t think everyone on this site is a fan of channels doing second series of the same show. A bit unoriginal and saturating the market, some might say.
If DWTS returns to Sundays maybe Winners & Losers will resume Tuesdays and not be delayed to the ungodly hour of 9.30.
I know they do it for ratings but it’s really frustrating the good shows aren’t spread out over the week, come Thursday to Saturday there’s not much to rave about!
It is winter & people are staying in – how about spreading some of these shows on Friday & Saturday night too!
X factor usually has a lengthy promotion period which hasn’t started yet, restaraunt Revolution will probably come first. With TXF returning to Sunday’s once DWTS is over, so a mid-September start.
The House Rules grand final is on one of those dates! 🙂
And X-factor will be due sometime in the next month or so as well, that would then presumably go to Monday and Tuesday.
I haven’t seen any promos for X Factor on channel 7 yet. I think X Factor will start in August/September so it doesn’t clash with The Voice.
