FremantleMedia has picked up the rights to a reality singing format which is set to be pitched into 20 countries, including Australia.
It’s Showtime searches for the ultimate singer with contestants helping to judge their own competition.
They give MKR-style scores on voice, stage performance, song selection and styling.
The show is designed to be stripped across primetime, with the audience helping to choose a weekly winner.
The format, created by Global Agency CEO Izzet Pinto, will launch on Hungarian broadcaster RTL.
Coincidentally, Ricky Martin has also been a judge on another Global Agency format, Keep Your Light Shining.

*groan*….not another singing show….
Make it Showtime With The Stars and I’ll watch
So essentially Come Sing with Me. I’m sure if networks can milk what is essentially a one hour show across an entire week they’ll go for it.
It is designed to be a striped 30 minute show.
Which in Australia will translate as a stripped 80 minute show I’m sure!
