Encouraging news for Blindspot with NBC ordering more scripts after just one episode has aired.
NBC has ordered nine additional scripts for thriller, after it debuted to 10.6m US viewers.
Over Live + 3 days it grew to 15.2 million viewers and becomes the breakout drama for NBC so far this season.
The back-order means its chances of winning a full season of 22 episodes are greatly improved.
Blindspot becomes the second new series of the new Fall season to earn an additional order, following comedy Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life.
Blindspot is coming soon to Seven.

Cooper Barrett’s… was a plan B that had a 6 ep order and a mid-season launch. So FOX were faced with suspending production increasing the order to a standard half season of 13. Given that every show on FOX other than Empire is doing equally awful they figured they’d need the extra episodes. (The Grinder and Grandfathered have just aired and had OK reviews).
If Seven thinks I’m going to wait until the middle of Over-hyped October to see this they need to think again.
