Legendary music presenter Molly Meldrum is recovering in Thailand after a tumble while while getting out of a taxi at a Bangkok hotel.
The 72 year old told News Corp “I’m a walking disaster.
“I’m with the doctors now, they’re trying to put everything back together.”
Meldrum is now under doctor’s orders to rest and recover.
“I’m not sure what it was, but I slipped on something on the ground and fell on the footpath, but I’m OK.”
Apparently it was no publicity stunt for Seven’s Molly miniseries -Meldrum reportedly left the country to avoid all the attention.
Meanwhile star Sam Johnson has been honoured for his charity work in today’s Australia Day Honours.
A two hour special I Am Molly will also air on MAX next Tuesday.
Update: Molly has reportedly cracked four ribs and dislocated his shoulder. Get well soon!

I wish him a speedy recovery. Hope he returns to Australia safe.
‘Getting out of a taxi’. Right……
Footpaths are notoriously uneven in Bangkok. At 72 this did not surprise me at all.
As if he would risk his health for publicity – why that line is even in the article is beyond me
agreed, that line in the article was totally unnecessary
