Spend your Valentines Day with cult Chinese dating program If You Are the One, with the premiere of two Australian Specials on Sunday 14 February and Sunday 21 February at 7.30pm on SBS 2. The world’s biggest dating show has upped the ante, featuring 10 Aussie boys and 16 Aussie girls, so strap yourself in and prepare for some cut-throat contestants and blunt dating advice.

There are movie seasons galore across the month, showcasing the very best of Asian cinema, starting with the Lunar New Year Movie Season 9.30pm Fridays starting 6 February on SBS, featuring crowd favourites Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Journey to the West, The Man of Thai Chi and Chinese Zodiac.

SBS’s new hit series The Family Law, based on Benjamin Law’s memoir, continues Thursdays at 8.30pm on SBS, with a subtitled version available on SBS On Demand. The Laws are a sprawling Chinese-Australian family who are unlike any you have ever seen on television before, yet might be more familiar than you’d expect.

Also on SBS, season’s one through three of Poh’s Kitchen 6pm weeknights and an Asia-focused Lost Worlds season of documentaries at 7:30pm on Sundays starting February 7 with China: Treasures of the Jade Empire, followed by The Great Wall of China: The Hidden Story on February 14, New Secrets Of The Terracotta Warriors on 21 February and the two part Jungle Atlantis: Angkor Wat’s Megacity starting on 28 February.

SBS 2 is also celebrating with SBS PopAsia TV hosting a Lunar New Year program, from 9am Sunday 14 February, with exclusive coverage of the City of Sydney and Carriageworks’ K-Pop Party. The event features Korean boy bands Boyfriend and the Jackie Chan-formed JJCC with Australian-born member Prince Mak.

SBS On Demand will premiere the Australian/ Chinese documentary We Are Young, following the journey of Australian and Chinese High School students as they embark on an exchange program. The online platform will also run episodes of the classic South Korean variety/game show Running Man.
