Sometimes Nine can’t even give it away.

In the end a random member of the public did accept Steve Jacobs’ free gift of $1000 but not without some resistance. It followed another punter yesterday who rejected the no-strings cash from the Today weatherman.

There are reports the money was accepted after the crew intervened.

After yesterday’s third quarter figures, maybe Nine need to give the cash to shareholders?
