Match-making experts get another good strike rate with couples pursuing romance after the cameras leave.

Nine’s Married at First Sight ended last night with 2 of the original 4 couples pursuing romance, still together 2 months after declaring their decision.
That’s the same strike rate of 50% as 2015, after which another couple parted, leaving Alex and Zoe as the last couple standing. Pretty good results by the match-making experts.
Whether tabloid magazines now tell a different story since final filming ended remains to be seen.
But last night both Erin & Bryce and Christie & Mark told audiences they were still together. Simone delivered the bad news to a crestfallen Xavier, telling him he lacked enough romance for her. It was a big contrast to their “fairytale wedding.” Last week Jono and Clare also parted ways, with Clare vowing to spill all once her contract with Nine ends in 3 months time.
The show has performed well in its second season for Nine, doing the job of salvaging primetime ratings after the Reno Rumble disaster.
Nine has already filmed a third season it plans to air later this year, including with a same sex couple “married” in New Zealand.
