A management company is suing Terri Irwin after reportedly advising the firm the family wanted to step back from their management deal, before appearing on TEN’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Melbourne-based Zoo Sky Media, the company that manages The Crocodile Hunter and Irwin family brands, has filed a writ in the Victorian Supreme Court seeking damages.

The writ claims Terri Irwin and Zoo directors Adam Schoff and Michael John Whitfort had entered into an agreement in 2010 to develop, market and manage the Irwin Family Brand Assets.

“Terri Irwin said to Schoff that she and her children had been reassessing their lives and wanted to take a step back from all the activity associated with filming, they needed to take a break, and they needed to step out of the agreement,” the writ says.

The company claims the Irwin family bypassed them to appear on reality TV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, and provided the show with clips, denying Zoo revenue.

The Irwins appeared on the TEN series across several nights, including leading the contestants through challenges and a safari tour.

  1. Gotta love the Irwin’s, they’ve never put a foot wrong, they always put their hand up to support and promote the wildlife cause that is very dear to them and all they cop is crap. I hope they do pull back for the own sake.

  2. Not sure what the Irwins expected. You’re in a management deal and then start making your own deals and excluding your management. You can’t just tell them you feel like a break.
