It was another quiet Thursday with no show managing to crack the magic million, but Nine’s mix of NRL and The Footy Show helped take it to the win.
Home and Away was the best non-news performer at 634,000 viewers.
SBS hopeful Inside Heston’s World did not cook up the treat it should have for SBS, but was the best in show at 250,000.
Nine network won with 31.3% share then Seven 25.0%, TEN 18.5%, ABC 18.0% and SBS 7.2%.
Nine News was #1 with 940,000 / 913,000 for Nine then A Current Affair (650,000 in 4 cities) Hot Seat (526,000 as a single figure) The Footy Show (499,000), NRL Thursday (442,000). RBT was 390,000 in 3 cities.
Seven News (852,000 / 832,000) led for Seven then Home and Away (634,000), The Chase (524,000 / 355,000) and Great Gardens of the World (396,000). Movie: Bad Teacher was 243,000.
Bondi Rescue drew 572,000 for TEN. Technical mishaps did not impede The Project (564,000 / 400,000), Territory Cops was 519,000, Law and Order: SVU was 490,000 / 421,000 and TEN Eyewitness News was 426,000.
ABC News (787,000) was followed by 7:30 (619,000), Janet King (613,000), Hatch Match and Dispatch (496,000) and No Offence (294,000) on ABC.
Inside Heston’s World did not rise to its potential for SBS at just 250,000. Destination Flavour Scandinavia was 182,000, Gourmet Farmer was 169,000, SBS World News was 111,000 and the premiere of The Last Panthers was 104,000.
Peppa Pig put out 250,000 on multichannels.

Wow Peppa Pig the most popular on the multichannels? Goes to show how much is actually on
I will be one of the timeshifters for Janet King and HM&D
What do you think of Janet king season two?
Enjoyed Empire last night. Great show pity it doesnt rate well here.
I gave it 10 mins and turned it off. Can’t watch it anymore. There’s something missing in season 2. Before I gave Netflix a go I would’ve kept watching for improvement but now I guess I don’t need to put up with what free to air offers.
The business with Hot Seat, how low can nine get.
Wait, so Nine are picking and choosing when they split code Hot Seat. Damn thats dodgy.
Unclear. We will need more days to ascertain if this is ongoing. Yesterday a Nine source could not confirm.
Now I’m confused … ABC ads, Nine leads … which one’s the April Fool’s joke?
Pretty sure we’ve already had it when, as a joke, someone at Nine asked Daryl Somers if he’d like to host a fake hypnotising show and he so enthusiastically said “Yes!” with tears running down his cheeks that they had to proceed with the idea.
