The WTF look on Ken’s face after he said it was priceless.
If he had a floor manager, that wouldn’t have happened
Yes it still would have – the floor manager would have only been pointing to which camera he was talking to, he can’t help him read the autocue.
Problem most likely was that the control room directions were not in inverted text (black text in white box) instead of the normal “read this out loud” white text on black background.
Watch for more of these errors as news bulletins continue to become automated all over the country.
Ohh dear – he was reading the vision switcher’s direction. There was a major stumble the day before too with Pete Overton and Lane Calcutt. Pete is becoming most adept at recovering form those moments with speed and agility and calm!
