Less than a week after talking about the positives of participating in Seven Year Switch, a couple has taken to social media to say they had no idea the therapy would involve partner swapping, and that Brad had been incorrectly portrayed on the show.

In a series of Instagram posts Taleena said

Out of desperation to save our relationship and the ridiculously high cost of therapy sessions we applied for a show called relationship rescue that was designed to rekindle the spark in your relationship. Working alongside therapists we thought we would be doing this together. Boy were we shocked when we got moved into a house with the opposite sex and only one bed! I cannot even begin to explain how hard this was for us but we got through it stronger then ever! Love you babe

“Working alongside therapists we thought we would be doing this together. Boy were we shocked when we got moved into a house with the opposite sex and only one bed! I cannot even begin to explain how hard this was for us.

“We didn’t agree with the concept either but all that matters is that we’ve come out on top and stronger then ever x

“The experiment was difficult, beyond words. Not to mention the backlash we received after such an incorrect portrayal of Brad. So thank you everyone for seeing through that and supporting us xo love Tallena

“Its easy to sit infront of a tv and point out someones raw emotions and battles whilst putting it forth on such a platform to be judged. If the only thing we could of taken out of this is to touch or possibly help 1 couple out of this experience, that in itself is a great achievement. We don’t need or care for negative comments as we did this for us and our future. We do value your and everyone that has being sending us there love and support. These messages make our hearts and minds stronger to know love is powerful. Change can always be made, first step is to relies.”

But there is a happy ending with Brad and Taleena recently getting married.

“The best day of our lives! My best friend, my rock, my happiness,” said Taleena.

  1. You can’t really blame the producers for being “incorrectly portrayed” when Brad did act the way we saw. He is a loose cannon and is upset it was captured on camera. As Tim told him at the reunion…. “Lighten the f*** up”

  2. Good luck to them but don’t think you can blame the”poor portrayal” of Brad solely on the editing.
If you make the decision to go on a show like this you are public property for the duration (and unfortunately afterwards as well), and it is par for the course you will receive negative feedback, especially if you come across as a controlling sook like Brad did.

  3. So what their saying is they signed a contract to appear on the show, not knowing that the would be swapping partners etc. Well are they lying or really dumb?

  4. Jeez, that was quick.
I’m sure it won’t be too long before Terrible Tim is offered a job doing a breakfast show on one of the Brisbane or Gold Coast radio stations. He’s just that kinda clown.
    Hmmmmmmm…
