Singer Delta Goodrem is returning to The Voice next year, according to a news.com.au article.

Goodrem, who coached Alfie Arcuri to success this year, becomes the first confirmed coach for 2017.

“I’ve been a part of the show since its inception, I really feel like part of the family there and the crew are part of my family. I love our show. I’ve really loved growing the show. I’m sure I’ll continue the journey together next year,” she said.

Jessie J. is not returning after two seasons while the future for The Maddens and Ronan Keating remains unclear. The series is also produced by ITV Australia next year, not Endemol Shine.

Goodrem is closely aligned to Nine at the moment, also having completed filming for House Husbands, to screen in 2017.

Meanwhile The X Factor gets underway next Monday on Seven with Guy Sebastian, Adam Lambert & Iggy Azalea. A mystery “Underdog Judge” will be added. Sources suggest she is a woman who has sold over 100 million records, but isn’t Katy Perry or Kylie Minogue.

  1. Glad she will be coming back. Always had a bit of a soft spot for Delta. Was lucky enough to see her in Cats and get a chance to meet her last year. She’s such a genuinely nice person.

Would love to see Keith Urban come back, now that idol’s over he no longer has another reality show commitment. Also… Hope Ricky comes back. I know a lot were disappointed he wasn’t in this last season (myself included). As for the 4th judge. Hopefully somebody new. I don’t think Anthony Callea or Shannon Noll would be right tho…

    1. Oh MM…. you never fail to disappoint. To quote you very recently with your defence of The X Factor (which is on, surprise, surprise – Channel 7): ” if you don’t like it you don’t have to watch it, simple.”
