Two couples split during Married at First Sight ‘honeymoon’
Relationships fizzle in record time on Nine reality series, for both gay & straight couples.

That was fast.
Two of the five couples participating in the third season of Married at First Sight have called it quits already.
Neither couple has even made it to the end of their pseudo-honeymoon -the briefest duration of the show’s three seasons.
Dave told Jess he didn’t see a future because he wasn’t finding her attractive. She walked out after telling him she had given plenty to making their relationship work and he should have made his feelings known earlier.
Andy and Craig also parted company, with Craig declaring he wanted intimacy much faster than Andy who admitted he wanted to move slowly. After a tentative discussion both agreed to remain friends.
“The fact that Craig and I are the first same-sex couple to be married in this experiment, I guess there’s a lot riding on us being right and making it work due to the marriage equality debate that’s going on at the moment,” said Andy.
“It’s a damn shame that we’re not still together and you (could have seen) two men living harmoniously together. It’s a shame.
“But if I spend one day with Craig that’s keeping him one day from not being with the right guy for him, then I’ve stolen that day. He’s a great guy and he will make somebody a lovely husband with the right person. It’s just a shame that person is not me.”
Four of the couples, including Dave and Jess, will participate in a group dinner party tonight with promos hinting at plenty of fireworks.
One couple from each of the previous two seasons are still together.

One has to wonder how strategic some of the pairings might be moving forward, especially next year with ten couples and four episodes a week to fill.
*disclaimer – forced to watch this by family* – shame about the gay guys. I don’t understand why someone who said he could only take things very slowly was put through by the producers, given the entire premise of the show. Surely just setting up for failure? Was that their intention?

I hate that. Strapped into The Chair, my head clamped, toothpicks holding my eyelids open… just horrible.
I am holding my breath in anticipation Here….does that mean the show is almost over?
It’s a short run series anyway.
So much for the social experiment. You can’t force love…
