Airdate: Code of a Killer

ABC will screen the UK docudrama Code of a Killer, beginning this Friday night.

This tells the true story of Alec Jeffreys’ discovery of DNA fingerprinting and its introductory use by Detective David Baker in catching the double murderer Colin Pitchfork.

The cast includes John Simm, Anna Madeley and David Threlfall.

It aired in the UK in April 2015.

In 1983, outside Leicester, 15-year-old Lynda Mann is found dead. A year on, after an exhaustive but fruitless search for the killer, DCS David Baker is forced to scale down the investigation.
