Cricketing greats Andrew Symonds, Darren Lehmann and New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum will join TEN’s Big Bash League commentary team.
The three will join Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Mark Waugh Damien Fleming and Roz Kelly this December.
Network Ten Executive, Big Bash, David Barham, said: “The addition of Symonds, Lehmann and McCullum to Network TEN’s commentary team ensures that our coverage of the KFC Big Bash League will continue to be a first-class television experience for fans of all ages.
“Network TEN has the most exciting and contemporary cricket commentary team. To have the current Australian coach in the commentary box for the KFC Big Bash League is unprecedented for fans around the country and something that we are very much looking forward to.”
Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Mark Waugh and Damien Fleming have all re-signed until the end of the 2017-18 season.
“We cannot wait for the 2016-17 KFC Big Bash League season to start. With some big player movements and international signings, this year will see the best line-up of on-field talent ever assembled. Fans are in for a treat come December,” Barham said.
Big Bash League will return on 20 December.

Early prediction. Andrew Symonds will be on the next season of IACGMOOH and he will be a great addition to the commentary team. I remember he commentated for Fox Sports during the second season of the BBL and was fantastic.
as long as both are shown in HD
Couple of questions: does this mean Mark Howard and Andy Maher are out?
Is Maher still doing Women’s BBL?
I think Maher will be doing WBBL with Mel Jones and Lisa Sthkalear instead.
This article makes no mention of either doing either….. I’m assuming the status quo from 2015/16 will stay but you’d think their release would actually say that…..
