Netflix has released a trailer for Barry, the bio drama on a young Barack Obama.
Debuting at the 2016 Toronto Film Festival to critical-acclaim, Barry (the name his friends called him at his junior year at Columbia University), it stars newcomer Devon Terrell. Terrell is of mixed race and was born in the US, but raised in Australia.
The Perth-based actor Terrell was discovered by 12 Years of Slave filmmaker Steve McQueen, who gave him the lead role in his HBO pilot, Codes of Conduct which is yet to debut.
The film also stars Ashley Judd, Jenna Elfman, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Mitchell, Ellar Coltrane and Avi Nash.
It is directed by Vikram Gandhi and written by Adam Mansbach.
It will debut on December 16, 2016.
