Footy Show tribute to Lou Richards

Footy Show pays tribute to one of its own, and brings back Lou’s Handball segment.

Nine will play tribute to the late, great Lou Richards on The Footy Show tomorrow night.

Richards was a much-loved member of The Footy Show family, with tributes to come from Eddie McGuire, Tony Jones, Sam Newman and Billy Brownless.

Lou’s Handball, a favourite segment from The Sunday Footy Show, will also make a return.

Injured Melbourne ruckman the now beardless Max Gawn, and Hawthorn vice-captain Isaac Smith will head up the panel after their clubs’ thrilling clash last weekend in which the Hawks came out on top by only three points. They will be joined by chuffed Carlton fan and funny guy Dave Hughes as his boys celebrate two wins in a row.

The team will cross live to China to check in with Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak and Gold Coast captain Steven May as they prepare for their international clash in Shanghai this Sunday.

Old comrades, Geelong captain Joel Selwood and Essendon veteran James Kelly, will be on live to chat about their Country Round clash this weekend and Kelly’s huge milestone 300th game.

Bec Maddern faces the music after her comments regarding removing the banner from AFL games last week upset cheer squads around the country.

A new exciting Footy Show segment will be announced that is bound to test the brainiest in the game and the team is calling out to fans to get involved. All will be revealed tomorrow night.

8.30pm Thursday on Nine (Melb / Ade / Per).
