  1. I have never liked Dave Hughes I find him to much of a smart ar… and he keeps interrupting every one and not letting them finish a sentence , bring back Trevor Marmalade. I don’t like the new no ties look and all of them cluttered up on the table looks to messy. Get rid of that Rebecca woman I think the guys hold back sometimes from saying certain things because there is a female present. Now even Sam Newman looks out of place and no longer the king pin to the show , we shall see how things go last night the ratings were only good because everyone like me wanted to see the new format , me personally hated the show and will be watching The Front Bar as I watched it for the first time while the Footy Show was off air and quite enjoyed it.

  2. animals make u laugh out loud, very funny. Last weeks Mrs Brown was funny, not so last night. Can some one tell me how I find out the ratings for the mid morning shows (Studio Ten etc)

    • Secret Squïrrel

David will often mention these in the daily ratings wraps under “News” – when he’s not on hiatus. Regular service is due to resume this Monday.

  3. Ten have stuck with their reasonably successful shows including Aussie version of The Bachelor and The Project. Aussie version of the Bachelor is better than the US staged version with aggressive contestants that are just paper tigers but asked to play tough. That doesn’t cut here and I am glad, since my wife loves the show, that our version is not that scripted. Look at the demographics – Ten has spots 1 and 2 again. Doesn’t matter about no. 1 Network bragging right. Demographics count for a lot.

  4. jezza the first original one

The Bachelor should be renamed The Jenny Show…she is golden…..ticks all my boxes….hope she stays in for a few more weeks..

    • @ jezza I agree, she is great value. I wonder if she cringes when watching herself each week, or is she just delusional about the sort of person she is? She’s perfect for a show like the Housewives of Melbourne or Sydney. Maybe they could come up with a version for each bachelor contestants 🙂

      • jezza the first original one

I think she knows exactly what she is doing…….this is an audition opportunity for her for something else…..if the online rumours are true, I don’t think she makes the final 2 or 3…

        • You could be right jezza, but if she does get a gig doing something else it will need to be something where she can be like she is in the Bachelor, otherwise I don’t think the viewers will take to her. She’d be fun to watch on an Australian version of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’.

  5. The combination of NRL, RBT and the AFL Footy Show worked a treat for Nine, easily trouncing the opposition. It’s a bit like Seven’s combo of AFL, BH& G and a movie on a Friday being a winner. The revised AFL Footy Show easily crushed The Front Bar.

  6. That is a great number for the AFL Footy Show… I suspect it will settle in coming weeks at about 350-400k… as a long time fan (in NSW!) I was back on board after switching off for the first time in 20 years in recent weeks… despite the grumbles about the desk, I liked the one panel style desk… but it needed to be longer as it felt kind of squishy at times during a full panel. Don’t like Eddie but he’s a great host and media personality and he knows how to structure and run a show. Bec is glaringly out of place imo… it wasn’t until last night that I realised that maybe it would be better without her. Dave Hughes made a lot of awful jokes that drained momentum out of the show (nothing like saying something that’s meant to be funny and no one laughs on love TV… ?). And Sam felt restrained…
They did throw too many things in too (did I read somewhere it was meant to…
