At Friday’s AllFronts Seven made some bold predictions in which it outlined audience numbers for upcoming events.
These cover total audience numbers, presumably comprising both linear and digital audiences.
Here are some of the numbers quoted by revenue boss Kurt Burnette:
9.5m Melbourne Cup
5.1m Australian Open Men’s final
4m Commonwealth Games Day 1
2.8m Australian Open Women’s final
2.8m My Kitchen Rules season premiere
2.4m Rugby League World Cup final
1.1m Winter Olympics Day 1
Plus a 42 share in February.

And how many for the second season of Hells Kitchen Australia?
Surely that Melbourne Cup estimation, is including viewers in offices/pubs/clubs/bars/functions across Australia?
All sports broadcasts except MKR . How did 7 land the Rugby League World Cup rights over 9 when 9 has the NRL ?
NRL rights are sold by the NRL to Nine, Foxtel and Telstra. RLWC rights are sold by RLWC to Seven for all rights.
The broadcast numbers would be pretty well known, but has Seven ever made much public about its digital audience for e.g. MKR premieres?
