Star Trek actor accuses Kevin Spacey

Actor Anthony Rapp has accused Kevin Spacey of 'sexual advances' in mid-'80s, when he was just 14.

Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp has accused Kevin Spacey of ‘sexual advances’, when he was just 14.

Rapp has told BuzzFeed he attended a party at Spacey’s apartment in 1986 when he was performing in Precious Sons on Broadway. Spacey, who was 26 at the time, was enjoying his first major break with a supporting role in a revival of Long Day’s Journey Into Night.

According to the article Rapp was the only non-adult at the party and went into a bedroom to watch TV until after midnight. He alleges Spacey entered the bedroom after guests had left and climbed on top of him, in a ‘sexual advance’. Rapp froze, but went to the bathroom before making excuses to leave, he claims.

Rapp, now 46, said that he has not spoken with Spacey since the incident, but told friends and family over the years. He said he was prompted by the Harvey Weinstein scandal to speak out.

Representatives for Spacey, now 58, did not respond to BuzzFeed phone calls, emails, and a letter detailing the allegations. Other media are yet to publish a response.
