Martin Clunes to pilot new UK sitcom

Martin Clunes is set to star in a new UK sitcom pilot, Warren.

The series sees him star in the title role about an irascible driving instructor.

Filmed in Cardiff, Warren is written by stand-up and writer Jimmy Donny Cosgrove and Paul McKenna (Brotherhood)

Clunes, who made his name on Men Behaving Badly, will also feature in the upcoming crime drama Manhunt while a ninth series of Doc Martin in 2018, expected to be the last.

His last sitcom role was an update of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, which ran for two seasons.
