Ronnie and Georgia sign Nine deal

The Block couple to provide home improvement tips across all of Nine's platforms.

Nine has signed The Block‘s Ronnie and Georgia, who came third in the finale auction.

They will provide advice, tips and inspiration across home improvement, renovation and lifestyle across all of Nine’s platforms both broadcast and digital including 9Honey.

“Ronnie and Georgia were not only seasoned renovators before they joined our 2017 series but one of the most entertaining and creative couples ever to undertake The Block challenge. We know our audience will love their insights into the world of the latest makeover, styling and building trends,” said Adrian Swift, Nine’s Head of Content Production and Development.

Ronnie and Georgia added: “We live and breathe renovation, so we couldn’t be more excited to continue sharing our passion with Australia by staying with the Nine family.”

  1. Suspected this would happen.
The Block 2017’s Dee and Darren.
Yes, smug, egotistical, superior, polarising and dogged by controversy. But this has all added up to great ratings. I do think they were treated appallingly by some of the other contestants and I do admire them for their work ethic and ability to rise above all the crap they put up with.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see them back on another season of The Block in the future as well…

  2. I loved Ronnie and Georgia saaaah much. Most viewers took them at face value and didn’t understand their humour, but they were definitely what made The Block for me this year. Glad to see them rewarded like this.

  3. Can’t stand Ronnie and in particular, Georgia. What loud, egotistical people they are… I won’t watch anything that they are on ~ (Also, I wasn’t happy that Scott Cam intervened in the auction process so that these two would make more money, but he did nothing to help Sticks and Wombat or Hannah and Clint)

  4. Nope, I couldn’t stand them on the show and I would never purposefully watch anything that features them. Georgia was constantly auditioning for a future tv spot every time the camera was on her, so I guess it paid off for her, but the overwhelming feedback I’m reading is negative.

  5. I hope they tell Georgia to stop shouting every time she speaks to the camera before they commence filming. Her constant shouting drive me crazy on the block and made her unwatchable.
