Airdate: The Girlfriend Experience

US drama The Girlfriend Experience will have its Free to Air debut on SBS VICELAND next week.

The series, inspired by Steven Soderberg’s 2009 film of the same name, has previously screened in Australia through Stan.

The 10 part series begins with a double episode premiere.

Christine Reade (Riley Keough) is a second year student at Chicago-Burnham Law School and new intern at a prestigious firm. Working hard to establish herself, her focus quickly shifts when a law school friend introduces her to the world of transactional relationships. Known as GFEs, they are women who provide ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ – emotional and sexual relationships at a very high price.

Juggling two very different lives, Christine quickly finds herself entangled in an ever- broadening web of intrigue and betrayal. It’s a far cry from her childhood in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

A Chicago law-school student’s life takes a dramatic turn when a classmate introduces her to the world of transactional relationships.

Episode Two: A Friend
Christine earnestly pursues her new double life as a legal intern and girlfriend to her growing client list.
