Typo leaves Nine a little bit red-faced.

Nine News has made what can only be described as an “Unexceptable” typo last night.
Social media yesterday took aim at the spelling mishap which clearly went to air without enough eyeballs across it.

First on 9News! Maybe last as well. I'm trying to get my head around what 'unexceptable' would mean…

On-going errors with graphics at Nine are hardly ideal in News & Current Affairs. It’s not a great start to the year after Today‘s promo was accused of cloning BBC’s Breakfast.
Nine declined to comment.
Corrected!

“Typo leaves Nine looks a little bit red-faced.”
So what does this typo – in the heading of an article pointing out a typo – leaves David looks?
Haha an unexceptable error. Yep red-faced fair and square. I hope I acknowledge and correct errors, TV rarely does. Lucky I am not a national news service!
Me fail English, that’s unpossible.
I would not be surprised if someone got fired because of this.
Firing someone for one trivial spelling mistake, without a written warning would be grounds for Unfair Dismissal. “Unexceptable” is a homophone that passes through spell checkers because it’s an archaic English word, making it a common typing mistake.
Some people on Twitter had some fun with it at Nine’s expense, that’s all.
Yes. India correctly labelled but Indonesia is labelled as the Philippines. For more examples of poor grammar and spellng chech out the numerous typos, missing apostrophes (and ones incorrectly included) and sometimes strangely written phrases on the Nine News and Seven News websites/apps. More quality control and oversight needed.
A common spelling mistake Nine has been making lately, when they’ve done stories on stocking up for back to school they keep saying “stationary” in on screen graphics. That’s an F for you Nine!
Are they employing Kath or Kim?
Am I missing something with that last screen capture? The only words on the screen are “India”, “Philippines”,”Telstra” and “Optus”, all of which appear to be correctly spelt. What am I not seeing with this one?
Indonesia.
Doh, I fell for focusing too much on the spelling too.
Whoops! Oh well. At least my spelling and grammar are on point, even if my geography totally sux! 😉

The country labelled “Philippines”? It’s not The Philippines.
