Airdate: Joel Creasey: Fame Whore

TEN screens a comedy special filmed at the Sydney Opera House.

Next Thursday TEN screens a comedy special Joel Creasey: Fame Whore.

This will follow his weekly appearance on Show Me the Movie.

Creasey is also coming up on the SBS broadcast of Eurovision plus hosting Seven’s Take Me Out dating series.

Australia’s acid tongued prince of comedy, Joel Creasey, takes to the Sydney Opera House stage for a sizzling night of no-holds barred, adults-only stand up. With his unique brand of sass, Joel takes the audience on a roller-coaster ride through his celebrated “coming out”, his Twitter beef with Russell Crowe, Zumba classes with his mum, partying with Carrie Fisher and opening for Joan Rivers in
New York. Joel’s journey will leave his reputation in tatters and the rest of us in stitches.

8:30pm Thursday May 3 on TEN.

  1. Ummmmm… my thoughts about Joel have been documented. But, having interviewed Joan Rivers a number of years ago and respecting/appreciating her wide gay appeal, if JC opened for her in NY… well, I’ll watch – will be checking the menu to see if there’s any Humble Pie left…

  2. Pro: Its great Joel is finally getting a wider audience.
Con: The real trouble is that he’s just not that funny. I was at the taping of this special and the audience was left scratching their heads.

  3. I really want to like Joel, honestly he’s ok. But this over saturation of him on our screens is just doing my head in. He’s a great comedian on stage but his television appearances grind my gears. I lost a lot of respect for him during last years Eurovision (maybe I;m still bitter Julian and Sam left). Good luck, but I do think he appeals to a very small selection of the TV audience, perhaps doing shows more damage than good?
