The Bachelor (US) gets another spin-off

Australia has already had The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise spin-offs.

Now the US Bachelor franchise has spawned another series, The Proposal.

Set to screen there on ABC, it sees 10 eligible daters competing in four pageant-style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor.

Former NFL quarterback and Bachelor star Jesse Palmer is to host.

Other spin-offs have included Bachelor Pad with former Bachelor / Bachelorette contestants competing for a cash prize.
