Upcoming game show Pointless begins filming in Sydney next week, meaning a host will be announced imminently.
Production by Endemol Shine takes place at TEN’s Pyrmont studios between 27th June and 28th September. The first round of tickets are now available for filming until 20th July.
Sessions will take place around midday and late arvo. Audience members must be aged 12 years or older and are free.
Most quiz shows test contestants’ knowledge of important topics like history, geography and literature with the winning contestant being the one who scores the most points. `Pointless’ isn’t most quiz shows. Contestants try to score as few points as possible while racking their brains trying to come up with answers no one else can think of for general-knowledge questions.

If this show performs poorly, Ten are really leaving themselves with plenty of bad headlines. Reminds of the Biggest days Loser…where we had”ten is the biggest loser” we could now have “new game show is utterly pointless…”
Hmm I’m thinking they might get Grant Denyer to do this & Game of Games…
I hope not. He doesn’t suit this show at all and it would be overkill.

Sure. Thats why its been on for so long on BBC. Its no worse than the other game shows airing in Australia at the moment.

Do Ten have an agreed output deal with Endemol? this seems like a really odd buy for them unless they had to to fill a quota?

Someone like him or Peter Berner would be an excellent choice.
Peter Berner with Red Symons for me, they had a good rapport on the Einstein Factor and would fit that rapport of the UK hosts

More importantly who is going to be the really tall nerdy looking person with glasses sitting in front of the laptop wearing a wig, as seen in the British version on the ABC. I suppose TEN desperately need this games show time filler or it would be pointless buying the TV rights for Pointless.
