In the concluding Four Corners investigation by Sarah Ferguson, Russia’s endgame and the motivation behind its extraordinary interference in the US Presidential elections and the tactics it employed.

“What I think Vladimir Putin was doing was deliberately leaving a trail of breadcrumbs from Trump Tower to the Kremlin.” Former CIA Moscow Station Chief

In part three of this special investigative series we meet the woman at the centre of the most dramatic allegations in the Russia investigation.

“I was a little bit amazed, and frankly impressed, that she was able to get to Donald Trump Jr, Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort.” Financier and prominent Putin critic

Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya instigated the infamous meeting in Trump Tower in June 2016. Senior members of Trump’s team, including the President’s son, were expecting to receive damaging information about Hillary Clinton. Amidst claims that Veselnitskaya was an operative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, reporter Sarah Ferguson travelled to Moscow to question the woman who made it all the way into the Trump inner sanctum.

“I’ve come a long way to ask this question…are you a spy or an agent for the Russian government?” Sarah Ferguson, Reporter, Four Corners

Leading spymasters tell Four Corners that Putin’s aim in interfering in the US Presidential election was part of a grand plan to show the world just how much influence Russia could exert in America’s – or anyone’s – democratic process.

“What I think Vladimir Putin realised is he could inject this virus into our political system and set us fighting against each other instead of remembering that the enemy is. . . the guy in the Kremlin.” Former CIA Moscow Station Chief

“They’ve always been gathering intelligence and getting themselves positioned on networks. What has changed, is a growing evidence that they want to use those accesses to do destructive things, rather than just sit and watch and gather.” Former UK spy boss

Sarah Ferguson also speaks to Donald Trump’s long-time political adviser Roger Stone, who along with several other members of the Trump campaign team, is under investigation by the Special Prosecutor for possible collusion with Russia.

“I don’t know if I’m a person of interest or an interesting person. I certainly have committed no crimes.” Roger Stone, long time Trump adviser
