Keiynan Lonsdale to depart The Flash

Aussie star to bow out of his supporting role as series regular, Kid Flash.

Aussie star Keiynan Lonsdale (pictured left) will exit The Flash as a series regular.

Lonsdale, seen recently in Love Simon, has played the supporting role of Kid Flash, also seen in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.

Deadline reports he will still be appearing in the season 5 premiere of The Flash.

Lonsdale got his start in the 2007 film Razzle Dazzle: A Journey into Dance before MTV and Dance Academy.

  1. Keiynan had already departed Flash as a series regular at the end of Season 3. The news is he isn’t returning to Legends, where he had been a series regular in the back half of the last season.

  2. I must confess that The Flash has left my viewing list though I may watch episodes with others, the show like Arrow plainly has a dedicated U.S. following for it to keep being renewed but the appeal of both shows has been compromised by the DC franchise and all the spin-offs and formulaic plots to keep the franchise going. I would say that Keiynan Lonsdale has done the right thing if he intends to expand his career.
