Leaked audio reveals trouble on Lethal Weapon set

Audio reveals Clayne Crawford losing his temper on set, prior to being fired.

Warning: language

Variety has published audio of actor Clayne Crawford who was recently fired from Lethal Weapon.

The audio includes 2 excepts, including an argument with co-star Damon Wayans, just moments before the two actors shot a scene together, and another scene in which Crawford loses his temper due to noise, whilst directing a scene.

The noise was children at a swimming pool who were in earshot of his shouting. An assistant director walked off set after the incident, resigning on the spot.

Variety spoke to 31 people in relation to the show. You can read more here.

Last month Warner Bros. fired Crawford, replacing him with Seann William Scott as part of a third season renewal.

  1. An audio clip out of context like that is extremely unfair.
Sounds like Damon Wayans gave back just as much as he got.
They should have just ended the show. Loved it but won’t be watching with Seann William Scott, have always found him very irritating on screen

  2. Sean William Scott? are you serious? I love this show and have been addicted since the start mostly due to Crawford. Can’t see this lasting now, 🙁

  3. Didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary. I know enough about movies/TV shows that actors like to rile each other up before a tense scene like an argument or something. And that wasn’t the first time I’ve heard an actor/director’s temper flare on a set, and it certainly won’t be the last.

    1. That’s right, the ending credits sometimes show the on set goofing off where coarse language is common place and pranks are regularly used to distract fellow actors, it must cost the production company heaps in lost time and retakes.
