  2. Interesting when comparing ratings for the same Sunday night one year ago. House Rules is down by 294,000, The Voice down by 95,000 but Masterchef is up by 17,000.

        • Thankyou David. I think in a democracy we are free to say what we want as long as we don’t offend and we respect each other. We also have the right to differ if we produce the facts. Also thanks for all the work you do on TV Tonight.

      • So what are the factors? Both nights were the Sunday before a Monday public holiday. Both had the same 3 reality programs up against each other. I guess more people are watching Foxtel, Stan, Netflix and the like.

  3. Okay so Love Island is kind of awesome. I think a few of you guys on here are watching. It’s just some fun escapism on a wet winter’s night and some interesting dynamics are unfolding in the villa. I think the true Big Brother fans would agree. It’s completely aware of how trashy it can be which is part of the charm. The Irish voiceover guy is brilliant. Shout out to Steve the camera man. Moon.😆

    • I have to agree! I’m 22 and I loved Big Brother and the reason why I am watching Love Island daily is because it reminds me on BB. Love Island has surprised me with how enjoyable it has been, to me.

    Am sitting here checking every 10-20 minutes for the Ratings wrap then realised that being in QLD, we and WA are the only poor bastards working today 🙁

  5. How many people watched Delta Goodrem: Wings of the Wild Tour last night? Delta fans around Australia and overseas waited a long time for the concert DVD and were surprised that it was shown on TV first. They were so happy to re-live the best moments from the tour last night even though many songs were cut short or omitted altogether.

    • The interesting thing is that people do go away for long weekends and it’s sad that to think that wherever they go, they don’t have any television. They must live in the dark ages. I think this is another example of the ratings system being flawed. The reason the numbers drop is because the “metred” people have switched off for the weekend….but I bet they are watching elsewhere.

        Be also interesting to see if the Timeshifted ratings lift significantly for this Sunday rather than a regular Sunday as well. Either people with meters went away and watched elsewhere or didn’t watch their regular shows and watched other things while away, good time to catch-up on Netflix/Stan/Prime Video Shows I’m thinking (rather than catching Regional adverts over their usual Metro adverts).

      • Only viewers with ratings boxes, metering their viewing habits count, plus other mechanisms I suppose but going away for a long weekend only makes a difference if that person has Oztam metering boxes installed.
        Would be nice if everyone could be metered or provide feedback but that would cost a fortune, so don’t hold your breath.

          Yeah that’s why I’m interested in the timeshifted figures, did the metered people go away and set the recorders for some shows to watch when they get back home.
