Airdate: The Flash

US action series with Grant Gustin is coming to ELEVEN.

Here’s something of a rarity,  US action series The Flash (which airs on FOX8) is getting a Free to Air broadcast.

It will screen on ELEVEN from August 27.

This is Season 1 from 2014. Aussie Keiynan Lonsdale joined from 2015.

Barry Allen, a forensic crime scene assistant for Central City Police Department, is struck by lightning during a storm that is created after a particle accelerator from S.T.A.R. Labs explodes.

In a coma for nine months, Barry awakens in S.T.A.R. Labs. Barry learns that he can move at extraordinary speeds, and that there were other “metahumans” created from the explosion.

One of them, Clyde Mardon, is robbing banks with his ability to control the weather. In order to stop Mardon, Barry is outfitted with a suit, designed by Cisco, that can withstand his high speed.

With his new powers, Barry vows to exonerate his father, Henry, who is incarcerated for the accusation of murdering his wife, Nora, whom Barry witnessed being killed by another metahuman. He chooses the alias “Flash” for his alter ego.

8.30pm Monday, 27 August on ELEVEN.

  1. Given how old this now is & how well Arrow didn’t seem to work on FTA (not that the time or treatment would’ve helped) I have my doubts about this move. I wish them luck & am curious to see if this is a sign of CBS influencing more of Ten’s programming. Nice to see a currently airing show instead of a finished show for a change though

  2. If i am not mistaken CBS has a 50% in CW so this may be a sign of things to come. They may use CW titles to try and fill the gap for the younger demographics

  3. I’m puzzled by this decision, previous Foxtel shows haven’t rated well on FTA, and I don’t imagine this will do any better. Not to mention the cross-overs this show has will be lacking.
