Seven Melb to air VFL match

Seven Melbourne will broadcast a VFL Coburg v Werribee match this Saturday as the AFL trials its potential new rules around a larger goal square.
Seven Melbourne managing director Lewis Martin said: “Fans have been incredibly engaged and passionate in their views on rule changes. This trial and broadcast gives the fans a chance to see it for themselves.”
The AFL will trial the use of a larger goal square for kick outs for the entire game, along with set ups of six midfielders, six forwards and six defenders for each centre-square bounce through the entire match.
No starting positions for players would be required for other stoppages (boundary throw-ins and around the ground ball-ups) while the game was on-going.
Coburg v Werribee
2pm Live Saturday August 4 on Channel 7 in Victoria.

They show a VFL game every Saturday, no AFL on Seven in Melbourne on Saturday afternoon
True, this wasn’t the game scheduled to broadcast though (that was Geelong v. Richmond) so maybe that is why they’ve evidently put the PR department on it, as I’d surprised if they’re producing press releases for every weekly state league game for every state.
So I assume its in HD? would have thought a multi-channel would broadcast the game!
Nah they have a VFL Game on every Saturday from 2pm onwards so just announcing the change of game, would say to get ratings on a Saturday however it’s not primetime so won’t count in the overall scheme of things.
