In some certain circles, it will be a matter of celebration that schlock like Bride and Prejudice-The forbidden Weddings rates so impressively high, and if big numbers is all you care about, then this “bees around a honey pot” result will do the trick nicely, however there is another factor behind this result.

    Television is still the main force in wide ranging media entertainment, free to air ( so called) can dominate, and could again lead the field, but only if there is a deep commitment to production values, which applies to not only News, Current Affairs, and Sweet spoon fed schlock, all of which attract numbers, but must also apply to the rest of the compass. Drama is considered a, so called, top down commodity which can be purchased to fill a space, but we should be considering a reciprocal arrangement, with a product designed to sell from down under to the top, with a long…
