Screening simultaneously with the US. This is how it's done.

Kudos to Nine for again giving Survivor addicts a live finale, screening simultaneously with the US.
It will air at 12 midday AEDT on 9GO on Thursday December 20. Followed by the Reunion (where the winner is traditionally announced) from 2:30pm.
This is really the perfect way to broadcast the show into Australia so fans can avoid online Spoilers.
It is all repeated again in primetime from 9:30pm, but the winner won’t be announced until just after midnight.

After Christian’s departure I am a little ambivalent in who wins…but I will still watch!
David, can you please hold off on the spoilers the following day, especially any front page comments or photos! Thanks.
Hi Tex. The bad news is that isn’t something I could agree to, the good news is I don’t envisage writing on these results (subject to something extraordinary happening). I’m mindful it has a daytime broadcast and in similar situations I have held off to allow for prime time replays. I do weigh up a lot of factors before writing, but no change to the principle of aired = news, as a clear rule is better then a moving target. Thx.
Thanks David for this info. Got in marked in my diary.
After a couple of dud seasons, the American show has proven why it is the original and best Survivor.
Obviously Nine has a permanent contract to show Survivor, which is a CBS show and should really be on 10.
No it shouldn’t. Deals should be upheld. Nine has screened for over a decade.
Deals can be scrapped, it’s happened before. CBS most likely will review their contracts when they are ending.
I can’t think of a current deal being dishonoured? If we look at things like Simpsons moving it is extraordinary circumstances like 10 going into administration. Or Big Bang moved to Seven only as reruns. Or Prison Break appeared on 10 as a revival.
I was referring to Fox With their deal with 10. But didn’t they pull programming when CBS was taking over?
I do believe deals and contracts should be honoured, but a majority of the time it comes down to Money. Just like sports these days with players trading teams 1/2 way through contracts.
Company was in admin and they owed $$.
Thank you Nine for doing the right thing by both your viewers and your advertising sponsors!
This was the best thing 9 ever did. Airing Survivor live with the US. I don’t think I’d last till midnight.
