Next week SBS will screen Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 11/9, a look at Trump’s rise to power and winning the Presidency.

An explosive and compelling Michael Moore documentary which examines the state of American politics and asks the question – how did we get here?

Specifically, the filmmaker examines the Donald J. Trump presidency and the failings of the Democratic Party in 2016. He also tackles gun violence, and shines a spotlight on specific grassroots campaigns and movements across America including the surviving Parkland students and their anti-gun message.

Travelling across the country, Moore interviews Americans to get a sense of the social, economic, and political impact of Trump’s victory. Moore also takes an in-depth look at the media, the Electoral College, the government’s agenda and his hometown of Flint, Michigan, scene of the clean water crisis which continues to this day.

Wednesday, 30 January at 8.30pm on SBS.
