The comedy is one of TV’s biggest nostalgia hits along with Seinfeld and The Office.
One of television’s most iconic and awarded comedies, Friends celebrates its 30th anniversary in September and follows a close-knit group of 20-somethings as they navigate work, life and love in 1990s Manhattan.
Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the award-winning hit sitcom has been recognised with numerous accolades, including six Primetime Emmy Awards from sixty-two nominations. The series was also recognised by many guilds and critics’ associations, and is loved by millions of fans around the world.
In Friends: The Reunion, for the first time in 17 years, the cast of Friends reunites for a special celebration of the beloved, smash-hit comedy series. Taped on the original soundstage, Friends: The Reunion finds the core cast joined by James Corden and a star-studded roster of special guests including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, David Beckham and Maggie Wheeler (best known for playing Janice), as they relive the show’s fan-favourite and unforgettable moments. This once-in-a-lifetime special event honors the iconic series, which continues to permeate the zeitgeist today, with a hilarious and heartfelt night full of laughter and tears.

Shows and movies dropping in and out of streaming platforms or changing platforms is the best argument to buy or hang onto DVDs. Never any risk of not being able to find or watch.
I didn’t know it had left Stan!!
A few shows have made their way back to Stan, notably content which was lost to Disney+, such as Scrubs, Buffy, The Golden Girls, and other sitcoms.
DVD will probably last 25 years, as long as there are still DVD players that play the region you own.
Buffy was on Syfy before they left Foxtel and it was available one of the catch-ups at one point. Most 20+ years TV can be bought by anyone. Friends, The Office, Seinfeld and TBBT carry a much higher price because everybody knows them and will watch them over and over again. Netflix paid $110m for exclusive rights to The Office at one point. Since then it’s been on Peacock, Amazon and Apple TV.
