Tonight A Current Affair Tracy Grimshaw speaks with Detective Inspector Jon Rouse, who heads up Task Force Argos, to discuss online cybersecurity and how paedophiles are using technology to prey upon children.

Rouse reveals the confronting and horrendous reality facing children in Australia – some as young as infants, while also suggesting ways in which families can mitigate any risks that seemingly harmless technology may pose towards youth.

In an extended special report, Grimshaw also sits down in-studio with Julie Inman Grant, the Australian government’s eSafety Commissioner, who will answer questions sent in by viewers concerned with their children’s safety.

    1. Normally, I would be critical of A Current Affair, but credit where credit is due with a story about making a positive difference to the community as opposed to dodgy builders and alleged welfare cheats. Even though A Current Affair was serious, it will be back to the tripe tomorrow night. But I hope that this is a turning point for A Current Affair and it starts to be serious, reporting on the news of the day instead of what it normally have. BTW, summit between Trump and Kim Jong-un begins in a couple of days.

      1. Are you kidding? Have you forgotten that Channel TEN had George Negus presenting “Four Corners on TEN” almost 10 years ago? It was a ratings disaster. Negus on the final episode said “We tried to present a serious current affairs show but you buggers wouldn’t watch it”. Thankfully Nine have more sense than to go down that road again.
