On Sunday SBS VICELAND will screen the first of a 2 part French documentary State Of Terrorism.

On September 11, 2001, there were approximately 400 members of Al Qaeda who swore loyalty to Osama Bin Laden. Sixteen years after the ‘war on terror’ was declared, and 5 years after the death of Osama Bin Laden, Jihad seems to have spread everywhere, with thousands and thousands of militants in dozens of countries, from the Western shores of Africa to East Asia.
What went wrong? Key politicians, security chiefs, and generals from the USA, Great Britain, France, and Israel are trying to answer this question – how a war that was launched in the name of defence of our democracies might become their biggest threat.
