  1. I’m not sure people realised her match was on live if they lived int he eastern states. I saw on social media people complaining it wasn’t on. But it’s going to be a late night tonight for people watching it.
But last night was great and it was nice to watch a tennis match with no grunting, abusing of officials, rackets being thrown and yelling.
It would be great to see Ash win. It’s her best chance.

  2. That’s a very disappointing audience, considering she was playing for a spot in the final. Incidentally, what a joy she is to watch. No grunting, screeching, racquet smashing, swearing, abusing umpires, tantrums etc., – she just plays tennis. Even after dropping the first set, she still kept her composure when she was down 0/3 in the 2nd set, and thankfully turned the match around to go on and win comfortably. Go Ash tonight. 🤞

    • To be fair it was SBS Viceland, not to mention barely any time to promote her (most would have been word of mouth). SBS needed to spend big money weeks ago on a marketing campaign for the French Open, my opinion.

This will be proven tonight if her match doesn’t at least rate 200k (for 11pm east start). I mean if she was in the Aussie Open final, Nine’s ratings would be north of 2 million metro, maybe 3 million!?
