The Bounce marks 350 episodes

FOX Footy show has screened since 2007 with Jason Dunstall & Danny Frawley, joined by Cameron Mooney.

This Sunday FOX Footy’s The Bounce celebrates 350 episodes.

The show has screened since 2007 with former AFL rivals Jason “Chief” Dunstall and Danny “Spud” Frawley, joined since 2016 with Cameron Mooney.

From the the revolutionary introduction of the ‘Golden Fist Award’ – that’s now a critical component of footy fan language – to the cult-segment ‘Numerology’, Bounce is football’s longest running variety show that has families in stiches.

It’s the FOX Footy “footytainment” show that has something for everyone: Analysis, laughs and highlights – often in the same breath. A balance that has stood the test of time.

Regular segments ‘Turn It Up’ is a phrase from the 1950s that Bounce has single-handedly reintroduced, while ‘Yesterday’s Heroes’ sees footy greats making fools of themselves to make viewers laugh every week. More recently, Bernie Vince, Sharni Layton and Cameron “Moons” Mooney have participated in the heroes challenges under the experienced eyes of Chief and Spud.

Timing has always been one of Chief’s great strengths. Whether he’s delivering a scathing critique of a dribble kick or pursuing Moons or Spud in a bitter debate, the Hawks legend never misses a beat.

The guest list across the first 349 shows reads like a who’s who of Australian sport and comedy. Mark Bosnich, Nathan Buckley, Rodney Hogg, Mike Sheahan and Sam Pang are among a long list who have graced the couch.

This Sunday after the footy, fans will revel with Chief, Spud, Moons and basketball icon Andrew Gaze as they celebrate the best bits of their last 13 years on air.

5:55pm Sunday 23rd June on FOX Footy.
