US sci-fi The Expanse has been renewed for a fifth season ahead of its fourth season.
The series is an adaptation of the novel series by James S. A. Corey that takes place in a future where humanity has colonised the Solar System, and where a shadowy conspiracy threatens the fragile peace between the privileged Earth, the Spartan and militaristic Mars, the industrial asteroid belt, and the disenfranchised outer planets.
The series was initially cancelled by Syfy in May last year, before it was picked up by Amazon Prime.
Season 4 screens from Friday, 13 December.

Based on the trailers I have seen this coming season of The Expanse has upped it’s already high standard so hopefully my expectation is worth the wait and season 5 is fully justified. This is not a cheap show to make and is produced with the devoted hard work of sci-fi movie prop specialists who also respect the science of what they do.
