Micjoy Pty. Ltd., a company associated with Nine, has purchased a property at 360 New Street Brighton, the Sunday Herald Sun reports, with plans to subdivide into 5 homes estimated at $4.5m in works.
TV Tonight understands the huge 2761 sq.m. site was once home to Andrina Private Nursing Home, then owned by property Developer and Crown Casino founder Lloyd Williams. Nine made an irresistible offer on the site which has more recently been marketed as a One Orchard townhouse development.
Updated: The site is vacant for all but a small display office. Nine is rumoured to feature relocated homes from different eras from the 1930s – 1960s. The show previously relocated old homes onto vacant land in Elsternwick 2017.
Meanwhile the 2019 series at the former Oslo backpackers in St. Kilda, already having completed renovations, is tipped to launch in early August.
