Saturday Night Rove, which previously featured as Bring Back Saturday Night in last year’s Pilot Week, has its series debut this coming Saturday.
Filmed before a studio audience in Sydney, it features host Rove McManus, the voice of Judith Lucy and newcomers Alex Lee, Alex Jae and Justin Hamilton.
Guests in the first week are Jessica Mauboy, Luke McGregor and Venezuelan comedian Ivan Aristeguieta.
“I’m very excited to be kicking things off on Saturday. After such an overwhelming response to our pilot last year and the support for our official announcement, I truly am feeling the love in the room as we head into our first episode” said Rove McManus.
“I can’t wait to let go of the reins and get going.”
7:30pm Saturday on 10.

another show to fail how many chances do these tv people get , in the real world would have been sacked for all the failed shows
Shouldn’t we wait before passing judgement? Rove produces his own work.
These guests aren’t going to get anyone to tune in. They are on shows all year round. We’ve already heard from them and they’re stories. A weekly big show needs big guests that don’t already appear on shows here week in week out.
The guest list doesn’t exactly inspire me to want to watch. Is there a show Jessica Mauboy hasn’t appeared on this year? I wonder which disguise she’ll be wearing on “The Masked Singer” when she pops up on that later this year.
I hope this is a success, We need more live TV in Australia and after the copy and paste personalities disaster that was Sunday Night Takeaway, 10 needs a win.
Also saw celeb name game on replay last night and Rove was killing it, He was so natural and a perfect fit for the show. Rove should be the permanent host of the show.
I agree, I’m curious as to whether or not the ratings have improved since Rove’s been there.
Love Rove always and he killed it last week, as well as yesterday night…would be cool to see him on his own on a new game show, if 10 ever needs another one.
