  1. It will be a wait and see how popular this spin-off of a concluded cult show will be, to my mind I think the Breaking Bad franchise is past its prime and should be put on a shelf as should the Walking Dead franchise but American executives see nothing but money so both these shows will continue in some form when perhaps new concepts and ideas should be explored, the fear of failure remains a major influence in Hollywood.

    1. I couldn’t disagree more. Obviously not as popular as its final season and the year or so after it concluded, but my generation are still discovering it and absolutely worshipping it. Everyone I’ve spoken to cannot wait!

    2. It really depends on how significantly different the spin-off is and if the quality remains.

I think it’s fair to state that ‘Better Call Saul’ is significantly different (at least in the first 2-3 seasons) when compared to ‘Breaking Bad’. Plus, it’s still a quality series in its own right for most viewers.

‘El Camino’ is a movie, so almost shouldn’t be compared. It might be a one-off for all we know.

As for the 2 ‘Walking Dead’ series, you’ve probably got a point there.
