I Am Roxy: promo

Third cab off the rank for Pilot Week is I Am Roxy profiling Sydney PR consultant Roxy Jackenko.

This is produced by Matchbox Pictures and Two Basic Scoops, owned by Michael “Wippa” Wipfli.

With Birkin bags and macchiatos at the ready, prepare for a raw, uncensored and unapologetic look at the life of the controversial PR guru, author, wife and mum-of-two.

Whether she’s darting off to a facial between clients, commanding the room in a meeting with her “Betty’s” or renovating her multimillion dollar home – there’s never a dull moment on the Roxy-rollercoaster.

Political journalist Barrie Cassidy, will be the voice that guides us through the madness that is Roxy’s life.

So, love her or loathe her, you can’t deny you want to watch her.

Wednesday, 11 September at 8.40pm on 10.

  1. Whoever is green-lighting all of this crap desperately needs the sack. Pilot week should be their opportunity to experiment with ambitious concepts that could go either way in the success stakes. Everything that they have pitched this year makes Yasmin’s Getting Married look like high-concept TV. And as badly as Saturday Night Rove had rated in its pilot episode last year, 10 still went ahead the figures and greenlit it. Madness.

I wouldn’t put it past them to greenlight one of these duds for next year’s schedule either, ratings be damned.

  2. Will be looking forward to this…hoping it will be better than Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians (it almost certainly will top it though). If this pilot is good enough (or at least entertaining) I hope 10 will make this a small series.

Actually despite the press release above I will deny that I want to watch her. As will 99.9 per cent of other TV viewers. This junk pilot is just so obnoxious on so many levels. Giving these wannabee high society desperados oxygen will come back to bite Ten big time …and make Sydney’s Cray Cray Rich Asians look like Shakespeare.
