A pole dancing mother of 3 has won the Australia’s Got Talent grand final.
Melbourne’s Kristy Sellars won the $100,000 prize in a winning a Live public vote after she was one of 4 acts pre-determined by judges Shane Jacobson, Lucy Durack, Nicole Scherzinger and Manu Feildel.
She won with a pole routine to the song ‘Unsteady’ by X Ambassadors, defeating singers Jennifer Anderson, Olina Loau and dancer Sienna Osborne.
Lucy Durack said, “That was the ultimate Grand Final performance. What impressed me the most was you told this most beautiful and important story and you made us feel.”
Nicole Scherzinger said, “You make me so proud to be a woman, that was profound. You bring power and depth and meaning to pole dancing.”
Shane Jacobson added, “Never stop what you’re doing. You do it with such power and yet you’re happy to show us your emotions.”
The winner was determined through a Live vote to Eastern States viewers with one of 4 pre-recorded endings to announce the result. One grand finalist, knife thrower Captain Ruin, also was unavailable for the final.
But some viewers took to social media to complain about issues with voting through the 7plus app.
Updated: A Seven spokesperson told TV Tonight,“After a few minutes of voting being opened, one of the 7plus services had an issue with autoscaling, leading to some users not being able to access the 7plus vote page on the 7plus mobile apps. This only affected some users and was quickly resolved within the voting period.”
