When pop-culture meets science meets federal parliament. A sneaky little @TheBachelorAU reference in Question Time ahead of tonight’s finale. As the Science Minister & an engineer … I’m #teamchelsie @DrMattAgnew @oshergunsberg @Channel10AU pic.twitter.com/wtafbXoTWD

It’s not too often a TV show makes its entry into Question Time in Parliament House but last night Karen Andrews MP went totally Team Matt and Team Chelsie.
“Mr. Speaker I’m all for popular culture that gets people talking about Science, and I do note one of the finalists vying for The Bachelor’s heart tonight is in fact a chemical engineer,” she said.
“So I say go Chelsie!”
Andrews is Minister for Industry, Science and Technology.
She added, “As The Bachelor said last night, ‘Science is sexy!'”
Amongst the other TV shows to have scored a mention into Hansard are Big Brother, Australian Idol and Alvin Purple.

May be a lot more said in Parliament after Matt and Chelsie were interviewed by Kyle and Jackie O on radio this morning! What is being reported as having been said may well breach broadcasting standards by a long way!!
That’s par for the course for them.
