Never thought I would be writing the words ex-Wham star Andrew Ridgeley speaks to Tara Brown.
Sunday night on 60 Minutes.
The Big Lie
One of Hollywood’s most memorable films is Catch Me If You Can. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Frank Abagnale, the greatest – if that’s the right term – con-artist of all time. What makes the film stand out is that Abagnale’s life of lying is all true. With an audacious swagger, he managed to swindle his way around the world. As Liam Bartlett discovered, these days Frank’s a good guy, but there are plenty of others vying to be the trickiest of tricksters.

Wake Me Up
Back in the 1980s there was no bigger band than Wham! The British duo of Andrew Ridgeley and George Michael created some of the most infectious songs of their era, and for four years Wham! ruled the pop charts. Then in 1986 the duo split. Unusually for the music industry however, the break up was entirely amicable and their great friendship endured. George Michael went on to become a music legend in his own right while Andrew Ridgeley happily escaped the public gaze for the quiet life. Now, three decades later he’s stepping back into the spotlight, to talk about his precious time with George Michael and, in doing so, remind us of why the world loved Wham!

That wasn’t a story, it was an ad for his book.. zero newsworthy information.
I’m definitely keen to hear Andrew’s story. For someone who flew so high and enjoyed so much 80s excess, he always seemed to be a humble bloke.
Oh George ❤ you are missed xx
